1. Our claim

At eHotel.de we want to give everyone the simplest possible access to our offers, whether with or without physical or sensory restrictions. Accessibility is an important goal for us and shapes the design of our entire website.

2. Scope

This declaration refers to our digital offer below www.ehotel.de

3. Standards and Test Procedures

We follow the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act, the harmonized standard EN 301 549 and the guidelines WCAG 2.1 AA.
To check accessibility, we used, among other things, the AXE DevTools tool, carried out various audits and fixed all automatically recognized errors (as of 06/01/2025).

4. Implementation and measures already implemented
  • The font sizes and contrasts have been adjusted so that texts are easy to read for everyone.
  • Images and graphic content contain suitable alternative texts so that they can also be displayed in a way that is easy to understand with screen readers.
  • Interactive elements such as buttons or links can be operated completely via the keyboard.
  • The structure and the layout of the content were designed in such a way that they are clear and easy to understand.
5. Restrictions and Existing Barriers
  • Semantic structure and navigation
    • We continue to work on optimizing the page structure in such a way that screen readers can capture content more easily and information is conveyed even more clearly.
  • Coloring and contrasts for graphic elements
    • In addition to texts, we also check symbols, buttons and other graphic areas so that they remain easily recognizable even in the case of visual impairments.
  • Keyboard Navigation and Focus Display
    • We continuously improve usability by keyboard so that all interactive areas can be reliably reached. This also includes a clearly visible focus mark when navigating.
  • Customizable presentation for users
    • We plan additional features such as magnifying texts, elevated contrasts, or alternative display modes such as a dark mode so everyone can customize the view.
6. Further development and intention to improve

We are constantly working to reduce barriers and provide new content as barrier-free as possible. Each new function or extension is carefully checked and adjusted if necessary.
