In the study “Mobile Apps with Added Value” conducted by ServiceValue GmbH on behalf of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the app of the digital hotel booking platform ehotel® was awarded the distinction “very high added value” – thereby securing first place in its industry category, hotel portals.
Berlin, 14 March 2023. Nowadays, online services must also be reliable and accessible around the clock via smartphone. For hotel guests in particular, simple and intuitive usability of booking apps is especially important. In the latest study, “Added Value of Mobile Apps”, conducted by ServiceValue in cooperation with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute, the ehotel® app has now received the “very high added value” award. The pioneer among online booking platforms also secured first place in the “hotel booking portals” sector with its rating. Since 2000, Berlin-based ehotel AG has been ensuring that business travellers and companies can book rooms and settle their bills as easily as possible through innovative meta-search technology.
Together with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute, the renowned analysis firm ServiceValue has once again this year investigated which of the best-known apps users derive the greatest benefit from. For the study “Mobile Apps with Added Value”, customers were asked to give their verdict on 638 mobile apps across 56 categories. According to the results of the representative survey, customers were so satisfied with the ehotel® app that the company has now received the “very high added value” award for the functionality and data security of its mobile app.
The fact that customers are once again expressing their trust in the ehotel® digital platform is particularly important to CEO Fritz Zerweck. “We are delighted that our approach of a fair and transparent booking system is winning over so many users. The entire team will therefore continue to work towards providing every traveller with a user-friendly hotel booking experience and first-class service.” In addition to the ongoing development of its own meta-search technology, ehotel® intends to continue focusing on strengthening e-mobility and reducing CO₂ emissions, according to CEO Fritz Zerweck.
The study “Mobile Apps with Added Value” was conducted by the analysis institute ServiceValue in collaboration with the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the SZ Institute. The exact results will be published for the first time in issue 44 of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and are also available on “Mobile Apps with Added Value”. The hotel booking platform ehotel® brings together accommodation offers from all providers worldwide on a single platform using meta-search technology. The Berlin-based company focuses its business strategy on providing comprehensive support for hotel bookings and the associated services for business customers. By integrating tools and services into the systems of the respective companies, alongside proprietary payment and billing solutions, ehotel® ensures optimised processes, seamless expenditure control, compliance and cost savings for its clients. The booking platform has repeatedly been recognised for its service quality by, among others, the German Institute for Service Quality and the market research institute ServiceValue.
